Very well designed restaurant. Was seated on the couch and enjoyed flipping through magazines while waiting for our food which did take quite a while to come. Was not offered an English menu but with my limited Japanese, explained that we were vegan and they prepared a nice oil based vegetable pasta that was very satisfying.

Beautiful modern cafe/restaurant built in a tradition building at the entrance of Historic Imai Town. They are one of the only places open most days and til midnight. They have lunch, cafe, and dinner menus and are quite strict in the menu times(no dinner during cafe time). The pasta is great but the pizza seemed like it was just made in a toaster oven by someone's mother at home. We ordered when nobody else was there but all 4 dishes came at completely different times. When the last dish came, the other three had completely finished their meals; an oil pasta dish 40 minutes after we made the order. If you're their to relax with coffee to escape the heat, great. But, if you're in a rush, better go elsewhere. But, there isn't anywhere else to go!

The avocado bacon rice bowl is heaven in a bowl and I cannot get enough of it. One day I will be able to get past my love for it so that I can order their “Dutch baby” but for now, this bowl is love.

Try the avocado bacon rice, it is delicious and worth to try. Try the cakes also. Remember this is a small restaurant so expect crowds during weekends and prepare to share the long table with other customers. The staffs are good even with limited english. Too bad, credit card is not accepted here. Easy to spot from the red bridge.

Cozy and trendy decor, and good vegetarian options including a big vegetable filled pasta and margherita dutch oven pizza (extreme levels of cheese). And amazing ginger ale with real ginger slices!
